Injection mold maintenance and management


I. Purpose: To enable the equipment to maintain the best performance status and extend the service life to ensure the normal production.
 
II. Duties.
2.1 This standard must be implemented by trained and qualified injection molding technicians and mold managers.
2.2 The injection molding foreman is responsible for the implementation and inspection supervision, and the supervisor regularly supervises.
 
Three, injection mold maintenance content is divided into.
3.1 Maintenance of the mold before production
 
3.1.1 The surface of the mold must be cleaned of oil and rust, and the cooling water hole of the mold must be checked to see if there is any foreign matter and if the water circuit is not working.
3.1.2 Must check whether the arc in the rubber mouth sleeve of the mold is damaged and whether there is residual foreign matter.
3.1.3 Whether the screws and clamping clips of the mold fixing template are tightened, etc.
3.1.4 After the mold is installed on the injection machine, the mold should be run empty first. Observe whether the running action of each part is flexible, whether there are abnormal phenomena, whether the active parts such as guide pillar, top bar, line position are worn, whether the lubrication is good, whether the ejecting stroke and opening stroke are in place, whether the parting surface fits tightly when closing the mold, etc.
 
3.2 Maintenance of the mold in production
3.2.1 When the mold is used, it should be kept at normal temperature, not hot or cold. Working at normal temperature can prolong the service life of the mold.
3.2.2 Check daily whether all the guiding columns, guide bushings, return pins, pushers, sliders, cores, etc. of the mold are damaged, observe them at any time, check them regularly, scrub them at the right time, and add oil to them regularly to maintain them.
3.2.3 Before each mold locking, attention should be paid to whether the cavity is clean, absolutely no residual products, or any other foreign objects, clean-up is strictly prohibited when using hard tools to prevent touching the surface of the cavity.
3.2.4 The surface of the cavity has special requirements for the mold, the surface roughness Ra is less than or equal to 0.2cm, absolutely can not be wiped by hand or cotton wool, the application of compressed air blowing, or use senior napkins and senior degreasing cotton dipped in alcohol to gently wipe.
3.2.5 Regularly clean the mold parting surface and exhaust slot of foreign objects such as rubber wire, foreign matter, oil, etc., parting surface, runner surface cleaning twice a day. Injection molds in the molding process often decompose low molecular compounds corrosive mold cavity, making the bright cavity surface gradually become dull and reduce the quality of products, so you need to regularly scrub, scrubbing can use alcohol or ketone preparations, after scrubbing to timely blow dry.
3.2.6 Regularly check whether the water circuit of the mold is smooth and tighten all the fastening screws.
3.2.7 Check whether the limit switch of the mold is abnormal, and whether the slant pin. Check whether the slant top is abnormal.
 
3.3 Maintenance of stop mold
3.3.1 When the operation needs to stop temporarily, the mold should be closed, so that the cavities and cores are not exposed to prevent accidental damage, and the downtime is expected to exceed 24 hours, the cavities and cores should be sprayed with anti-rust oil or mold release agent on the surface, especially in wet areas and rainy season, the time is short to do anti-rust treatment. The water vapor in the air will make the surface quality of the mold cavity lower and the surface quality of the products decrease. When the mold is used again, the oil on the mold should be removed and wiped clean before use. There is a mirror requirement of cleaning compressed air blowing dry and then blowing dry with hot air, otherwise it will bleed out during molding and make the products defective.
3.3.2 Start the machine after temporary stop, open the mold should check whether the slider limit moves, no abnormalities are found before closing the mold. In short, be careful before starting the machine, do not be careless.
3.3.3 In order to prolong the service life of the cooling water channel, when the mold is out of use, the water in the cooling water channel should be removed immediately with compressed air, put a small amount of machine oil into the mouth part, and then blow with compressed air to make all the cooling pipes have a layer of anti-rust oil.
3.3.4 work carefully check the working condition of each control part, strictly prevent the auxiliary system from abnormalities, heating, control system maintenance is especially important for hot runner molds. At the end of each production cycle, the bar heater, band heater, thermocouple learning with ohmic mother should be measured and compared with the technical description information of the mold to ensure that its function is intact. At the same time, the control circuit may be tested by means of an ammeter installed in the circuit. The oil in the hydraulic cylinder used for core extraction is emptied as much as possible and the nozzle is sealed to avoid leakage of hydraulic oil or contamination of the surrounding environment during storage and transportation.
3.3.5 If you hear any abnormal sound or other abnormal situation from the mold during production, you should stop immediately to check. Mold maintenance personnel should make a tour to check the normal running molds in the workshop and deal with abnormalities in time when they are found.
3.3.6 When operators hand over the shift, besides handing over the production and process tight off records, they should also have a detailed account of the mold use condition.
3.3.7 When the mold has finished the production quantity of products, to replace other molds, the mold cavity should be coated with anti-rust agent, the mold and its accessories will be sent to the mold maintenance staff, and the last production qualified products as a sample together with the maintenance staff. In addition, you should also send a list of the use of the mold, fill in the details of the mold on what machine, from a certain year and a certain date, how many products produced, now the mold is good. If there is any problem with the mold, you should fill in what problems exist in the mold on the use list, put forward specific requirements for modification and improvement, and hand in an unprocessed sample to the custodian for the mold worker's reference when repairing the mold.
3.3.8 Check the surface of the mold after stopping to see if there is any residual glue wire, foreign matter, etc., clean it up and evenly spray on the anti-rust agent, and fill in the relevant records accurately.
 
3.4 Routine inspection every quarter.
Mainly clean and maintain the molds that have not been used for more than two months.
3.4.1 Open the mold and check the internal antirust effect, if there is any abnormality, the antirust treatment must be carried out again. If the mold is not used for a long time, apply grease.
3.4.2 Put back to the original position and make records.
 
3.5 Storage of moulds
A mold warehouse should be set up, with a person in charge of management, and mold files should be established, and computerized management should be implemented for molds if possible. The mold storage should choose a place with little moisture and ventilation, the temperature should be kept below 70%, if the humidity exceeds 70%, the mold is easy to rust, the mold should be stored on the shelf, pay attention to anti-corrosion, dustproof, etc.
